Residents puzzled by Jones' park renaming

It seemed like a generous idea at the time, but it has Dunwoody residents just a little confused and more than just a little peeved. CEO Vernon Jones is proposing that the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners rename Brook Run Park to Liane Levetan Park at Brook Run.

At the Tuesday board of commission meeting, after The Crier’s deadline, Jones planned to introduce a resolution to dedicate the sprawling, 100-acre park and educational facility in Dunwoody, after Levetan, DeKalb’s former CEO.

The board voted to rename the park.
