North Atlanta defeats Dunwoody HS in football

Dunwoody upset - playoff hopes fading

From the story:
The words “North Atlanta” and “upset” were not even in the same conversation for many when talking about Dunwoody football early last week.

This all changed last Friday night after a 38-24 win for the North Atlanta Warriors. Dunwoody, which dropped to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the sub region, could have been eliminated from all playoff hopes, but Chamblee’s victory over Westminster kept Dunwoody alive. Dunwoody must win its remaining two games against Westminster and Druid Hills to have a chance to advance.

The unusual night that almost ended the season in disaster began with North Atlanta arriving 30 minutes late for a 5:15 kick-off. Also, starting quarterback Jeron Sykes was not in uniform to begin the game as a result of an undisclosed injury.
