Don’t look for the almost festive atmosphere at area polling places next week. U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-4th District) was defeated in the summer primary and will leave office at the end of the year.

Those huge crowds turning out to vote against her became a thing of the past when state Rep. Fran Millar (R-Dunwoody) was able to have Dunwoody and north Brookhaven moved into the 6th Congressional District of Rep. Tom Price.
